Kempele Local History Museum

The Kempele Local Heritage Museum presents a typical North Ostrobothnian farmstead. A special feature is Finland's only field house and turf cottage. The present log main building dates from 1886, with a barn, four chambers, a porch and two porches. At the beginning of the century, the Kempeleen Säästöpankki operated as a 'bank chamber' for about 30 years.

The log barn was built in 1886, the interior was renovated in the 1930s. The stable barn dates from 1897 and has four separate rooms: stable, tack room, equipment room and tractor room.
